Like anyone who's been on the 'net for a while, I find my e-mail inboxes cluttered with truckloads of spam every month. Thanks to all the e-mail harvesters ("spambots") floating around the web, searching webpages for e-mail addresses upon which to unload their advertising sludge, I have found it necessary to take some defensive measures.
